Shoreline League of Democratic Women Hosts their Season Kick-Off Event for Democratic Women

SLDW features Guest Speaker Kim Hynes of Common Cause Connecticut
Westbrook, CT – August 23, 2011 -- The Shoreline League of Democratic Women (SLDW) announced today it will kickoff  its 2011-12 season on Wednesday, September 7, 2011, 6:30 – 8:30 PM, at the Gallery One at the Clay House, Old Saybrook Shopping Center, 665 Boston Post Road at Elm Street in Old Saybrook. Special guest speaker will be Kim Hynes of Common Cause Connecticut, an organization dedicated to improving the way state government operates. All shoreline Democratic women are welcome to attend this free social networking event. Refreshments will be served. About the Shoreline League of Democratic Women

The Shoreline League of Democratic Women is a social and political fellowship that unites Democratic women along the shoreline, and focuses on issues important to women of all ages. Women are encouraged to join the SLDW and participate in the organization’s valuable work in the community.  Participation may be 30 minutes a month, or 30 minutes a year. As a part of the SLDW educational charter, members will be notified of important pending state and national legislation.
